For those who have completed Your DSLR: the Basics and/or are comfortable with the topics covered in it, Your DSLR: Beyond the Basics is the ticket for moving up to the next level of photographing children. Join Amy as she teaches you how to take further control of your DSLR, as well as practical and creative ways to capture your kids like a paparazzo!
Your DSLR: Beyond the Basics is the second of a two-part curriculum, following Your DSLR: the Basics. Weekend DSLR classes are taught back-to-back so you can easily attend both on the same day.
This class consists of three sections, comprising the following topics:
- Choosing your focus area
- Using drive mode
- Understanding white balance
- Understanding aperture & shutter speed
- Setting your ISO
- Setting your depth of field for multiple subjects
- Using a flash
- Using light reflectors
- Getting great focus in every situation
- Capturing siblings (and maintaining your sanity)
- Utilizing different perspectives
- And more!
Participants should bring their camera (DSLR or DSLR hybrid), camera manual, and any additional lenses or flashes they’ve purchased.
All participants will receive an illustrated workbook and pen.
